I’ll be honest, the first PS is by far my least favorite one. Though I’m old enough to have played it at launch, my PS story started with PSII so, it doesn’t carry the same nostalgia for me.
The original Phantasy Star has some very nice, catchy melodies and some rather forgettable ones. There are a few that I absolutely want to remix as standalone or as a 2-medley but there’s this bigger mix of some 3-4 of its most famous pieces I would also like to do.
The other problem comes from the fact that most tracks in this game loop very quickly so it’s hard to make a full remix of just one track without some heavy impro.
